About The Library

Exterior of Troke Branch Library Building

This library branch was named after former library director, Margaret K. Troke. "Troke" rhymes with "hokey pokey." (That's how Margaret Troke pronounced it, so that's how we say it.)

The Troke Branch opened in October of 1979 in north Stockton, at the corner of Benjamin Holt Drive and Inglewood Drive.

Customers can check out library materials in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hmong, Lao, Cambodian/Khmer (CDs and DVDs only), Hindi, and Urdu.  Troke also has a reference collection for use in the library.

Troke Branch has a variety of technology available for public use. There are computers, printers, and scanners. The scanners can print, email, fax, or save your scanned file to various media. Free Wi-Fi is available without a password. We even offer Wi-Fi printing, from your own device. Note: there are fees for printing and faxing.

Troke has one meeting room, which is available by request. See the link on the right side of the page, just below the library hours, for more information.
